We started our journey in 2012, with a clear goal in mind to develop sustainable products that are trendy but timeless. In
this era of fast fashion, materialism and an urge for over possession, we want to bring a small yet genuine change in the
way we think and pursue our possessions via our products.
All our products are created using upcycled materials, designed on the lines of origami techniques to consume minimum
storage space. Most of our products are designed to serve more than one purpose. We like blending materials to use
their individual strengths, making the products aesthetically attractive yet highly functional.
Since It’s inception, Lukka Chuppi has been committed to creating innovative, effective and sustainable designs. We hand craft contemporary home decor, stationery, and lifestyle products from Upcycled leftover fabric and non animal based materials, collected from various cultures. Drawing inspiration from minimalistic origami techniques, our aim is to make products that celebrate aesthetics while being socially and ecologically responsible.

We truly live by what our founder often quotes, “it’s not a waste until you waste it.”
Lukka Chuppi was born out of sheer passion for Art and Design. Drawing inspiration from her surroundings, our founder, Ishani Kanani, began designing products based on her needs, using waste materials and textiles collected as souvenirs from her travels. Always wanting to escape the mundane, a variety of multi-purpose and visually attractive products were the outcome of bursts of creative expression and experimentations. These unique creations were a blend of memories, tradition and a sustainable lifestyle, which gradually began attracting audiences. Starting with small requests from friends and families, Ishani began to manage and fullfill bulk productions. An urge to share these products with a large audience marked the birth of the brand- LUKKA CHUPPI.
HOW DO THESE
COME TO LIFE
Each of our products undergoes an elaborate journey before it is born. Starting from conception till final production, the processes of ideation, experimentation, exploration and creation constantly oscillate back and forth in bringing these products to life.
We start with procuring materials such as waste textiles, reclaimed wood and waste papers from various sectors across the nation
PRODUCT INTEGRATION / QUALITY CHECK
Once each team member has completed their part, all the pieces, after intensive quality checks, are integrated carefully to present the products ready for your use. across the nation
We run a flexible manufacturing model that carries out production de-centrally, enabling our workers to be able to work from home at their convenience. In doing so, we strive to help our team members sustain their lives both professionally as well as personally. across the nation.
We then ideate and conceptualise our designs and reshape the material into upcycled raw material which is handed over to our team to undergo their individual processes
Every Artisan and Member of our team is encouraged to think outside the box to come up with solutions, at each and every step, to mend issues and defects in their piece of the final product. They are trained to collect any and all waste in separate bins, which in turn further processed for our Zero Waste Product Line. Our aim is to bring to you products that are uniqely engaging while also being ecologically sustainable.
Nurtured to improvise, innovate and contribute at every step in the production processes, our team is made of members who are experts in their own craft. We promote an inclusive work environment, and every member, from designers, managers to artisans, contribute equally in the creation of each product and ensure that all our products are made exquisitely, efficiently and waste free.
